Test #1:

  1. How long ago was your home built? 
  2. How clean were previous owners?
  3. After construction, did you have cleaning to remove sheetrock dust, builder debris, and contractor's cigarette butts?
  4. When were the ducts last cleaned?

**If your home is newly constructed, was built over 5 years ago, or hasn't been cleaned in 3-5 years, then you are way up there in the list for needing your system checked for cleaning!

  1. Did previous occupants (or do you) have children that may have stuffed or dropped food down dining room registers?

Reason #2:  You or your family members have allergies, runny nose, itchy eyes, or other symptoms that lessen or disappear when you are outside.

Dust and other contaminants are actually pulled into your furnace and heating air ducts.  Your ducts also provide an ideal breeding ground for bacteria, molds, fungi, and other allergens (all they need is warmth & moisture).  Cleaning may help you breathe easier or help prevent chronic problems.

Children under four (with immature immune systems) are particularly under attack and  the result may be allergies or asthma.  You may have heard on T.V. or read in periodicals that new studies indicate that if children do not come into contact with Asthma triggers between birth and 4 years old they may never develop Asthma.
